This world where everyone 

Has lost their own light 

Like a firefly that can’t fully glow 

In the dark on a summer night 

Some say she still plays 

During the summer 

In the forest where lily goes 

She knows the people with broken hearts 

The ones that have lost someone 

Whether it was a friend or someone they admired 

And so, she knows the true hearts of people 

And so, she plays in the forest 

As she plays her melody, it will make your ear ring.  

It may scare you at first 

But it means that you are being heard.  

And so, as she begins to play  

You will begin to feel her calming presence 

Your spirits will lift as you hear this melody.

No one in this world believes  

In whom Lily is, mama told me 

But those who do, will have 

All of their questions answered someday, she said 

It is dawn, and I decide to walk 

Into the forest, and I saw her 

She was the most beautiful thing 

I have ever seen 

With blue eyes that shined 

And wings that glowed brightly 

And as she stared at me 

I was comforted 

It’s as if she knew what I was thinking 

She told me, Do not fear child 

The people that have lost their light, 

will have their light restored someday 

And those with heartbreak will have  

Their hearts repaired, someday.  

 And those who lost someone will 

Have their hope restored someday. 

I asked, But what about those who want to know  

Who they are truly meant to be? 

Why can’t I fit in with the rest of them? 

Why am I not like them? 

One day, I had awoken, 

Was this all a dream? 

Or a fantasy I had seen? 

Oh, Lily, where are you?  

A tear, ran down my cheek, 

I hated this world,  

I was living in a world 

Where I knew I didn’t belong 

Where everyone had forgotten the word love 

I looked out my window 

The sunrise is what I saw 

My left ear began to ring 

It had not been a dream then 

My tears stopped falling 

I began to smile 

I knew that she, was real 

Hoping we would meet again, someday.
