Have you ever seen that metal box on wheels cruising down the street? The first batch of Cybertrucks was released on Nov. 30, 2023, in Austin, Texas. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, created the new pickup truck of the year, the Cybertruck, to compete with the best on the market.
The Tesla Cybertruck is like a magnet on wheels, attracting everyone’s eyes on the road. The crazy genius behind the structure of the Cybertruck is Elon Musk himself, chief executive of Tesla. Musk was determined to create something unique while using the same stainless-steel SpaceX uses for its rockets, according to a CNN article. The Tesla website describes the Cybertruck as “durable enough to go anywhere” with an exterior steel that can help reduce dents.
“Then there’s the Cybertruck’s crazy shape. In this case, the Cybertruck is hindered by an apparent, needless desire to be different,” according to Peter Valdes-Dapena, CNN author.
Inside there’s a large, beautiful glass roof that sits over five seats in total. In between the driver and passenger seat sits a massive 18.5-inch touch screen that serves an important purpose: it displays the driver assistance systems, speed meter, maps and can’t forget the best entertainments. The tilted trunk can hold up 2,500 pounds which shows how spacious this truck is.
“It’s got powerful acceleration and steering that feels quick, responsive and nimble,” according to Peter Valdes-Dapena, CNN author.
It’s no surprise that many people would question the safety of the Cybertruck. The metal edges are very intimidating on the road and the stainless steel can end up creating a glare for some drivers that can interfere with their driving. Some other concerns are the lack of mirrors, but since Tesla is all about tech, drivers usually rely on cameras to work as mirrors.
“But the Cybertruck is, of course, bigger and more than twice as heavy,” according to Peter Valdes-Dapena, CNN author.
Tesla is known for its uniqueness. The company strives to be different and to stand out so obviously this innovation Tesla has created is out of the ordinary.
This innovation Tesla has created can change the world. The Optimus Gen 2 is a robot created by Tesla to try and mimic a human. It can interact with the physical world with its high technology used in Tesla cars including AI. Elon is on some other level with this new project but it’s also very interesting how we now have the technology right now to create something so futuristic.
If you’re interested in other more modern electric cars that are less obtrusive and flashy, Tesla has other options: the Model Y (four doors), Model X (four door falcon wing), Model S (four doors) and lastly the Model 3 (four doors). All these models are more affordable than the Cybertruck and have similar tech features.
