1. Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX”
Kendrick Lamar’s “GNX” debuted at number one on the Top Billboard 200 Charts. Lamar released the album on Nov. 22, 2024, which features Lefty Gunplay and SZA. The album contains that made it to the Billboard chart, such as “TV Off,” “Luther” and “Squabble Up.” Lamar’s album was a complete success, and with the help of SZA and his diss song “Not Like Us,” he beat Drake as the king of rap. NPR declared Lamar as the new king of rap on Nov. 2024. Lamar also performed at the 2025 NFL Super Bowl halftime show, where he brought out celebrities as SZA, Samuel L. Jackson and Serena Williams.

2. Bad Bunny’s “DtMF”
On Jan. 5, Bad Bunny released his hit album “DtMF.”Bunny’s “DtMF” (Debi Tirar Mas Fotos) hit charts globally with DtMF surpassing his 2023 album “Un Verano Sin Ti”. The album reached No. 1 on the Global Hits 200 songs chart. The album features artists such as, Dei V, Omar Courtz, RaiNao, Chuwi. These artists were featured in songs, such as “Velda,” “Perfumito Nuevo,” and “Weltita.” Other titles include “Nuevayol,” “Baile Inolvidable,” and “Voy A Llevarte Pa PR.” According to Shawn Grant, Bunny “currently reigns as Spotify’s #1 artist on both the Daily and Weekly Top Artist charts, while his album holds the top position on the Weekly Top Albums chart.”

3. Ariana Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine”
On Mar. 8, 2024, Ariana Grande released her seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine.” The album consists of utilizing heartache and turning it into a new path of a new romance. The album placed No. 1 in Mar. 2024 on the Billboards 200 with Grande’s singles “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” topped at No. 1. Some titles in the album include “The Boy Is Mine,” “Intro (End Of The World),” and “Bye.” According to the article “Ariana Grande’s Album ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Spins Heartbreak Into Gold“ by Lindsay Zoladz, Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine” is her “first album in over three years, which is a considerable pause after a prolific stretch where she put out a hit LP nearly annually.”

4. Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n Sweet”
On Aug. 23, 2024, Sabrina Carpenter released “Short n Sweet,” which is her sixth studio album. The album utilized romance in a lustful, yet cheater-catching way. Carpenter, a Disney alumni, can see the comedy in romance gone wrong, which is what “Short n Sweet” was based on. Carpenter, just like Ariana Grande, released “Espresso” before the release of the full album, making it a hit single. Some of the few titles in the album include “Please Please Please,” “Bed Chem,” and “Juno.”

5. Rauw Alejandro’s “Cosa Nuestra”
On Nov. 15, 2024, Rauw Alejandro released “Cosa Nuestra,” the fifth studio album released under Alejandro’s belt. “Cosa Nuestra” brings tropical Puerto Rican vibes and includes a cover of the late salsa singer Frankie Ruiz’s “Tu Con El.” Alejandro brings out a sensual and daring mood in Reggaeton with the album “Cosa Nuestra” Titles in the album include, “Que Pasaria…” with Bad Bunny, “Khe?” with Romeo Santos, and “Revolu” with Feid. Alejandro continues to rise to the top, alongside Bad Bunny, as he is one of the few Latino artists with songs that reached the Top 100 on the Billboard Charts.
