I can’t breathe

No matter how much I try

I’m not underwater

I’m on the surface of the earth

I’m somewhere

And yet, no where

I try to scream

Hoping someone will hear me

But

Nothing comes out

Only the struggling of my breath

Trying to breathe

I put both hands on my throat

Signaling

Begging

Asking

For any help

Waiting

Time goes by and by

All of a sudden

A pair of hands reach out

I feel a touch on my shoulders

A brush of air comes my way

I can breathe again
