Taina Bruno may not sound like your usual Brooklynite but it’s obvious once you hear her rant about how the $1 pizza slices she grew up with are now $3. She hopes to go to college to major in dance and minor in English literature or journalism. This explains why her biggest professional role model is Misty Copeland, who became principal dancer at the American Ballet Theater by working hard and thinking beyond her circumstances. On her college resume, you might spot: The Addams Family, Young Author’s Award, and Fuel Up to Play 60 student ambassador. In her free time, you’ll find her doing one of 3 things: listening to her musical soulmate (Elliot smith), playing 1 of her 4 instruments, or decorating the walls of her room!
