A Divided Nation
April 14, 2021
Civil Rights– separate from whites
African Americans– mislead and insecure
and experienced violence like never before.
I am the darker brother.
Beat, killed, and injured but still felt strong.
African Americans weren’t treated as equals.
I am the darker brother.
Throughout time, history changed, but it’s just not enough.
Segregation stands in some parts of the world.
Some people are still racist and don’t treat us right.
I am the darker brother.
African Americans aren’t being treated equal and that needs to change
Immediately – so we are equal and the same.
We are the darker brothers.
