Nabihah Ahsan’s Swan Song

Unquestionably, one of the hardest things to do is say goodbye. We all journeyed through elementary, middle and high school well aware that one day we would all graduate and part ways with friends we once grew up with yet still, I sit in disbelief over how fast that time has approached us.

When I first started writing for the Pow Wow in 10th grade, I remember talking to the seniors about tips to survive high school like it was yesterday. After all these years, I came to realize that there is no clear-cut pathway in navigating through these chapters of life. That’s what makes everything so exciting. Each day has brought new experiences, thrilling adventures and memories I’ll never forget. I will forever miss the sound of overcrowded hallways, kids screaming on the bus at 7 a.m., and sitting on dirty gym floors.

As I say my last bittersweet goodbyes to Brentwood High School and get ready to embark on the next new chapters, I want to thank my friends, teachers and administration who have made these past few years so worth-while.
