A beautiful way to spend Valentine’s Day is by making treats for your friends or partners.

Before baking, you must:
Prep your oven to 360° before putting your cookies in. Prep your baking tray with either non-stick cooking spray, or a baking sheet. This will help your cookies bake without sticking to your baking tray.

To make the dough, we first need to:
Mix together butter, flour, and sugar until you get your dough-like consistency. Make sure that all the ingredients are well mixed.

To shape your cookies:
Form a dough ball to your liking (NOTE: the dough ball will expand as it bakes) then roll the dough ball in sugar. Flatten it with the bottom of a cup. For an additional step, you could use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to add some extra details.

While baking:
Bake your cookies for around 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are a slight golden brown. To make sure that your cookies are thoroughly evenly baked, stick a toothpick straight through and if there is no dough residue left on your toothpick, then you can take it out of the oven.

Before eating:
Make sure the cookies cool down for a good 5-10 minutes. If you’d like to personalize your cookies more, you could frost them or add sprinkles. Once you’re done waiting or personalizing, you’re done!
