Let’s admit it: Waking up early on the weekend is horrible. But for free food and coffee, where do I sign up?
Have you heard of cars and coffee? It’s an open, worldwide event hosted by C&C, where people come together to showcase their fancy cars every weekend, from 6 a.m.-11 a.m. If that isn’t enough to reel you in, food and coffee are also provided free of charge.
“I would wake up early to go to an event if coffee and food was offered,” said Edwin Lazo, a junior.
At Cars and Coffee, they serve different varieties of bagels and breakfast foods. They also, of course, serve coffee at the events: the perfect way to wake you up in the morning.
“I would be interested in attending. It looks fun,” said Daniela Martinez, a junior.
To find the nearest event near you, you can go on the Cars and Coffee website and search for the closest one. Or you can even go on any social networking platform, such as Instagram or Facebook, and type in “Cars and coffee” along with your location.
“I am interested in cars. Certain cars I’m interested in are supercars like Koenigsegg and McLaren,” Lazo said.
Typically, at Cars and Coffee, there’s variations of all types of cars. As mentioned in the article “Attending A Cars & Coffee Event: Everything You Need to Know” By James Jacob, these are “organized, high-class, structured” events so if you do not want to look at million-dollar hyper cars like Bugatti or Ferrari, this might not be the right event for you
Cars and Coffee started as a Saturday morning breakfast at Donut Derelicts in Huntington Beach, California, according to Wayne Carini in his article ““Cars and coffee is the best: No competition. No trophies just community.” It then became an organized gathering at the Crystal Cove Mall in Orange County every Saturday from 6–9 a.m. Now, it is a globalized event in many countries.
Who would turn down the opportunity to see cool cars for absolutely no cost? The only money you’ll spend at cars and coffee is gas money; but in return, you’ll receive cool accessories, a luxury experience, and, of course, a full stomach.
